Ruby Tuesday: 25% Off Entire Check
As a member of Ruby Tuesday's So Connected Club, I received an email with a coupon for 25% off an entire check (expires 5/14/10). Unfortunately I can't share the link for the coupon, but I can share the coupon with you if you give me your email address. So if you want the coupon, simply leave a comment with your email address or email it to me and happily I'll email you the link to your very own coupon.
I'm not sure how many people I'll be able to send it to- don't know if there are any restrictions- but I'll do as many as I can.

$0.45/1 Yoplait Greek Yogurt Coupon
After I posted this I printed the coupon and it said "Do Not Double or Triple". Sorry! I had seen elsewhere that someone planned to use it at a store that doubles and just assumed it must be okay.
Print this coupon to save $0.45 off any one Yoplait Greek Yogurt. This is an excellent coupon to use at a store that doubles since it should make the yogurt free or nearly so when paired with a sale.

I haven't seen this coupon at all, but I thought some of you may have and so I wanted to just pass the word along that it is not a legitimate coupon. Please don't use it. Not only are you cheating stores out of money, you also will make it harder for everyone to use legitimate printable coupons.

Weekly Spending Summary
Well, I didn't spend much this week. Last weeks crazy spending scared me pretty good and so I just stuck to the basics this week and only bought items that were really good deals. It was also good for me to work at depleting our rather large stockpile of food. I tried to center our meals this week around items that I really needed to get used up. I'm feeling pretty hopeful that I'll be able to stay under budget again this month, but I guess by the end of next week I'll know for sure!

Tasty Tuesday: Mexican Chicken Roll-ups
I tried this recipe recently when I was looking for something easy, filling and that used ingredients that I had on hand. We all really enjoyed this delicious Mexican style dish- even my 20 month old.
Mexican Chicken Roll-ups
2 1/2 c. cooked chicken, diced
1/2 c. sour cream
1 1/2 tsp. taco seasoning
1/2 can cream of mushroom soup ( I used this)
1 c. cheddar cheese
1 small onion, diced (optional)
1/2 c. salsa
10 7" flour tortillas
TOPPING:
1 c. sour cream
1/2 can cream of mushroom soup
1 1/2 tsp. taco seasoning
1/2 c. cheese
Combine ingredients and place a very thin layer of filling in the bottom of a greased 9 x 13 baking dish. Place 1/3 c. filling in each tortilla, roll up and place seam side down in pan. Pour topping over tortillas; sprinkle with 1/2 c. cheddar cheese. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
For other great recipe ideas, check out Balancing Beauty and Bedlam's Tasty Tuesday, Blessed with Grace's Tempt my Tummy Tuesday, and All the Small Stuff's Tuesday's at the Table.

Dairy Queen: Buy One Blizzard Get One for $0.25
Okay, so I got an email about this deal last week and forgot all about posting it! Dairy Queen is celebrating the 25th anniversary of their famous Blizzard treat. As part of the celebration they are offering a $0.25 Blizzard if you purchase another Blizzard at regular price. This deal is good all week long (4/18-4/24) and is supposed to be available at all locations and not require any coupon. However, I always recommend calling your local store before doing a deal like this.
Weekly Spending Summary
Wow! This is one of those weeks that I can't quite figure out how I spent so much! I think knowing I only spent $16.58 last week somehow made me subconsciously think that I could spend a lot this week. Well, let me tell you I did! And now I only have $44.23 left to spend for the month. Think I can do it?
Let me just say too that this is where budgeting and being aware of my spending has paid off. I had absolutely no clue that I spent almost $115 dollars this week! It really only seemed like $60. If I wasn't budgeting and tracking my spending I would easily sail along the rest of the month spending my usual amount because I thought I hadn't spent that much. It really does pay to budget and track your spending!

Creekside Bulk Food: $12.61
Okay, so I forgot to take a picture of this. I bought: 6 lbs. butter, wheat gluten, oatmeal, and lunch meat.
Aldi: $27.56
I was so tickled to get butter for $1.49/lb. Made me wish I hadn't bought any at the bulk food store earlier this week!
Misc: $52.80
This was money I used for quite a number of things. Part of it went to pay my mother-in-law for fresh ground whole wheat flour and also 5 lbs. of shredded cheese that she bought for me at $1/lb. Twenty dollars of it will be used to buy milk over the next 4 to 6 weeks at a local dairy. And the rest went/will be going towards produce from our local farmer's market.

I paid $0.40 each for the Lysol. I'm thinking that should last me a good year! I had to smile at my cashier. I went to one that has in the past not been so great with me using coupons so I wasn't sure how she'd be this time. But when she saw the total drop from $14.35 to $2.32 her eyes kind of got big and her mouth popped open slightly and she said, "Wow, now that's the way to do it!" That was a huge compliment coming from her!
