Monthly Spending Summary (June)
Monthly Grocery/Household Budget: $190
Total Spent: $183.84
Total Saved with Coupons & Sales: $258.27
Week 1: $74.38
Week 2: $40.74
Week 3: $8.70
Week 4: $60.02
Other Expenses: $194.00
This was for 80 qts. of strawberries and 1 bushel of peas.
Credits: $39.48
Ending Monthly Balance: $338.36 (over budget by $148.36)
Balance carried from Jan.-May: $351.06
Ending Annual Balance: $202.70
I'm sorry if all that was hard to follow. Basically I had a huge credit from the past 5 months and this month because of buying fruit and produce to freeze, I dipped into that some. However, I still have $200 surplus, for which I am thankful because I still have fruit and veggies that I want to buy to can and freeze!
Now that I'm not feeling so icky with my pregnancy I really should try to do a "live out of the pantry/freezer month". I should, but I'm not sure I have the motivation to do it! Making food is still not something I enjoy doing as much as I normally would...but maybe I can compromise and do it for 2 weeks. We'll see... :)

Weekly Spending Summary
This was a big spending week for me. I had a number of things I needed to stock up on plus I had to buy food for our family reunion this past weekend. After several weeks of not doing as much shopping (and actually almost being tired of deal hunting) I really enjoyed this week. I had fun getting some great bargains and it inspired me to keep doing this whole coupon/sale thing.

Total Saved: $54.11
CVS: $0 (gift card)

I bought the Neilmed Saline Drops to do a rebate on. It was a perfect way to use up some Extra Bucks that I had expiring! I used $10.99 in EB and got back $2 EB. I also will get back $10.99 for the Neilmed drops via rebate. Since I am employed at CVS I get a 20% employee discount which comes in pretty handy for things like rebates. My discount saved me $2.20 off the Neilmed drops but I'll get reimbursed for the full $10.99.
Rite Aid: $6.69
Saved with Coupons: $16.98
Saved with Sales: $8.18

Misc.: $7.84
I bought fresh ground whole wheat flour from my mother-in-law.

Tasty Tuesday: Orange Julius
This is one of those beverages that is so refreshing on a hot summer day! I have fond memories of my mom making this for us on hot summer evenings. We thought it was the best treat ever! It also is a great addition to breakfast or brunch as well.
Orange Julius
1/3 c. frozen orange juice concentrate (not mixed)
1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. water
1/4 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
6 ice cubes
Put everything in blender and mix until mostly smooth. Serve immediately!
Looking for other refreshing summer beverages? Why not try some Iced Coffee or Easy Fruit Smoothies?
For other great recipe ideas, check out Balancing Beauty and Bedlam's Tasty Tuesday, Blessed with Grace's Tempt my Tummy Tuesday, and All the Small Stuff's Tuesday's at the Table.

Dreaming of Tiny Sweetness...
I heard the most beautiful and amazing sound this morning...our baby's strong, steady heart beat. Thank you Jesus that all is well!
Yes, I am pregnant and yes we are more than excited to be experiencing the gift of new life once again. We are anxious to meet him/her mid-December- seems a long way off but I'm sure it will be here before I know it!
So if you have thought I seemed to be a bit absent on here lately that is the reason. I was not feeling very good and had zero energy so I was doing a lot of resting. And of course any energy I had went into doing my basic household chores and taking care of one active little nearly 2 year old. I'm glad to be feeling quite a bit better and am enjoying a bit more energy. Hopefully it will only keep improving! :)

I rarely shop at Target because it's not that close by and I just don't find it worth my time. But since I needed to go there anyway for a wedding gift, I decided to get a couple of deals too. I actually made $0.46 on the body wash since it only cost $3.54 and I had a $4.00 coupon. I didn't think Target gave coupon overages, but they did and of course I didn't complain!

Weekly Spending Summary
Even though I did a decent amount of shopping this week, I didn't get to all the stores I had hoped to. I had great intentions of getting to Rite Aid and Giant but somehow my week filled up and there. just. was. not. time. So I felt a little sad and just skipped getting a few more deals.
I feel like I should apologize because I did a horrible job of taking pictures of this weeks purchases. Somehow in the craziness of the week it mostly just got missed.
Total Spent: $40.74
Total Saved with Coupons: $20.49
Total Saved with Sales: $15.92
Total Saved: $36.41
Giant: $3.99
Saved with Sales: $3.99
I bought two bags of chips for Vince's birthday party- should have planned ahead and I'm sure I could have saved more. Oh well...
CVS: $0 (gift card)
Saved with Coupons: $18.49
Saved with Sales: $11.93
Had I not used a gift card I would have paid $0.30 for this purchase. I used $16.49 in Extra Bucks and got $0.99 in Extra Bucks back.
I purchased the Scott with rainchecks and it was a great way to use up the huge amounts of Extra Bucks that I had that were about to expire. I have this love/hate relationship with Extra Bucks. I love them because they help me get great deals but I hate them because I often have a hard time getting them used before they expire- at least getting them used in a money saving way.
Walmart: $15.20
Saved with Coupons: $2.00
Centerville Bulk Foods: $15.89
Misc.: $5.66
This was for some Fuller Brush stain remover that I love. I know it is kind of expensive but it is honestly the only thing that I have found that will get some of our stains out, so to me it is worth it.
